Covid19 African Safari Guidelines
We are very sensitive to this time of uncertainty and the tremendous impact Covid-19 has had on our lives. Covid19 African safari guidelines we refer to the Center for Disease Control recommendations as a standard for all COVID-19 protocols and actively work to exceed those recommendations. From Safari Herd guides to the staff at our curated accommodations, rigorous hygiene and health standards have been implemented including intensive and ongoing training for everyone involved with your journey. All of the countries we visit in Africa have received the World Travel & Tourism Council’s Safety Stamp.
Covid19 Booking Policies
Your trust in us is not taken for granted. We have adapted our policies to allow for more flexibility which includes the following:
Refund Policy
If you must cancel your trip for any reason 90 Days or more before the start of your journey we refund your 20% Deposit (with the exception of our $500 administration fee).
If you must cancel for any reason between 89 days and 60 days before your trip, you will be issued with a Travel Credit for 100% of your Journey cost to be used by December 31st, 2022.
If you are forced to cancel due to the U.S. Department of State or Destination Country COVID-19 travel restrictions 59-30 days before your journey begins (for the reasons outlined below) you will be issued with a Travel Credit for 100% of your Journey cost to be used by December 31st, 2022.
If you are forced to cancel 29 days or fewer before your journey begins, we will make every attempt to recoup what money we can for you from our travel partners and agents.
Travel Credit Policy
You will receive our Travel Credit valid through December 31, 2022 for these COVID-19 related reasons only when the government of your country of residence or the government(s) of the destination country and/or countries issues any of the following restrictions:
Level 4 Do Not Travel Global Health Advisory or a Level 4 Do Not Travel due to COVID-19 for the destination(s) your Safari Herd itinerary goes to.
The Government of your country of residence restricts all but essential travel
The Government in the country you are traveling to prohibits you from traveling to it because of quarantine or related requirements.
Your international flight(s) was/were cancelled and no alternative routing is available in order for you to reach your destination(s).
Important Notes
Safari Herd Travel Credits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
Safari Herd reserves the right to update its rates for new bookings.
Clients are responsible for all non-refundable airfare and fees, travel, health, and other insurance costs, and all related costs.
All other standard terms and conditions apply to the booking including our cancellation policy.
These and other Safari Herd Terms & Conditions are subject to change and can be modified at any time without notice.
Trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
Your request to rollover your Safari Herd journey to a later date must be made in writing prior to the deadlines outlined above. Failure to notify us by the stated strict deadlines will forfeit your ability to rollover your Journey and Safari Herd standard Cancellation Penalties will automatically go into effect.
How To Limit Your Risk
Choose international flights with as few connections as possible and select airlines who space out their seating, have fewer seats, require protective gear of the flight attendants, and who practice thorough cleaning of their airplanes.
Limit the number of National Parks & Reserves you visit opting for longer durations in select lodges within/near the parks and reserves on a Safari Herd Safari Journeys.
