Our 4-days Masai Mara (fly-in) begins in Nairobi the capital city of Kenya. We will fly you with the light aircraft from Wilson airport to Emboo River located in the river bank within Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve, your perfect spot for your dream safari. Explore the pristine wilderness of the Masai Mara in the next 3 days and finalize your safari adventure with a balloon safari, soar in the spectacular savannah leaving you with memorable experience.

Itinerary

Day 1: Masai Mara National Reserve

Breakfast is served at the city hotel followed by an early check-out; we will transfer you to Wilson Airport for your scheduled flight to Kenya’s famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This huge expanse of gently rolling grassland – specked with flat-topped acacia trees and trampled by massive herds of zebras and wildebeest – is the ultimate African cliché. But for once the reality lives up to the image and the Masai Mara, which comprises not just the famous reserve but also around a dozen community conservancies, several group ranches and numerous Maasai villages, is for many people not just the highlight of their Kenyan adventure but the very reason they came in the first place. Upon arrival, begin with an en-route game drive to the camp for check-in and lunch. Venture for the afternoon game drive within in search of the Mara big cats and other nocturnal species.

Day 2: The Magic Masai National Reserve

Begin your adventure this day with an early morning game drive, later return back to the camp for your mid-morning breakfast, thereafter explore Masai Mara on foot to get a different view of this unique ecosystem and its residents. A short bush walk OR a longer bush walk will be organized in the conservancies around the lodge. This bush walk takes approx. 1-2 hours and will be combined with a bush lunch. Spent your afternoon on game drive exploring the pristine wilderness of the Masai Mara National Reserve. If you are travelling during the months of the wildebeest migration, it will be the ideal time from which to witness this spectacle. As soon as the sun has set, you will be invited around the camp fire. This is the perfect spot to talk about the adventures of the day, gaze at the stars and listen to the tales of the Maasai. Day 3: Masai Mara Balloon Safari

Your adventure begins at 05:00hrs as you’re transferred to the balloon launch site, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while you watch the balloons being prepared for take-off. The balloon crew will assist as you clamber into your balloon basket for take-off just before sunrise, at about 6:30AM. As you rise the Masai Mara plains opens up before your eyes to feast on the golden sunrise, enchanting sceneries, plains-game below as the winds gently blows the basket deeper into the reserve. Soar silently with 360 degrees of spectacular savannah lasting approximately one hour, depending on wind conditions. Upon landing breakfast is set up on the picturesque savannah plains of the Mara, typically under the shade of a single balanite tree. Sit down to a full bush breakfast in the Kenyan style, complete with eggs-to-order, sausages, fresh juices, fruits, cereals and, of course, sparkling wine. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely game drive back to the camp reliving the memories of the morning’s flight. In your mid-morning relax in Emboo River's Spa surrounded by nature. The spa treatments are inspired by the unique eco system of the Masai Mara and use local and organic ingredients. Enjoy a sumptuous lunch and spend your afternoon at leisure. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a visit to the Maasai village to heighten your senses.

Day 4: Depart Back Home

Sum up your adventure with an early morning game drive. Later proceed to the camp for sumptuous breakfast followed by check-out, thereafter you will be transferred to the nearest airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Nairobi Capital. Upon arrival our concierge team will meet you to bid farewell as you will be transferred by road to JKIA for your onward travel arrangements.
