Day 2: Explore Nairobi City

Begin your day with an amazing tour to the David and Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage giving you truly Heart- touching memories. The Wildlife Trust is bordering Nairobi National Park offering safe haven to orphaned baby elephants rescued from parks and reserves in Kenya. Later proceed to Giraffe Centre which protects the highly endangered Rothschild’s giraffe, combines serious conservation with enjoyable activities. Enjoy your lunch at a city restaurant and flourish your day with a tour to Karen Blixen Museum; was once the Centre piece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills owned by Danish Author Karen and her Swedish Husband, Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. Located 10km from the city Centre, the Museum belongs to a different time period in the history of Kenya. The farm house gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’ an Oscar winning film based on Karen’s an autobiography by the same title.

Day 3 & 4: Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast is served at the city hotel followed by an early check-out; our driver-guide will transfer you to Wilson Airport to catch your scheduled flight to Samburu National Reserve. Day 5 & 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

Sumptuous breakfast is served followed check-out; en-route transfer to the nearest airstrip to catch your flight to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve. This huge expanse of gently rolling grassland – specked with flat-topped acacia trees and trampled by massive herds of zebras and wildebeest – is the ultimate African cliché. But for once the reality lives up to the image and the Masai Mara, which comprises not just the famous reserve but also around a dozen community conservancies, several group ranches and numerous Maasai villages, is for many people not just the highlight of their Kenyan adventure but the very reason they came in the first place. Karen Blixen Camp will play host for our next few days. Eco-friendly as it gives a sense of the exiting explorer days when the savannah was seldom visited and elaborate and comfortable camps were set up providing a luxurious and stylish retreat after each day’s adventure. The camp comprises of large luxury canvas tents, each placed with privacy and undisturbed view along the Mara River. The stylish restaurant, the reception, the lounge and bar and the gift shop with internet are set on a raised wooden deck and furnished with accurate reproductions of Karen Blixen’s private furniture to fit in with the cozy atmosphere.
Spend on day and night game drives exploring the pristine wilderness of the Masai Mara National Reserve.
If you are travelling during the months of the wildebeest migration, it will be the ideal time from which to witness this spectacle. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy a visit to the Maasai village to heighten your senses, or if you’re feeling adventurous perhaps an exhilarating hot air balloon safari would do the trick.

Day 8 & 9: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

Early morning breakfast is served at the hotel followed by transfer to the Entebbe airport to catch your scheduled flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Uganda. On arrival, you will be transferred by road to the lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon proceed for Batwa cultural trail to give you an experience into the ancient ways of the Batwa people who once lived within the forest and also explore their ancient cultures. Uganda’s forests (Bwindi Impenetrable and Mhaginga Forests) are home to over half the world’s 1065 mountain gorillas (2020) – the rest live in the neighboring Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Because they do not survive in captivity, preservation of these fragile habitats is essential for the Mountain gorillas' survival. Our next day, led by our guide and his crew, we begin making our way through forest of trailing vines, trilling birds calls, giant lobelia and mossy hagenia trees walking toward an encounter with one of the park’s families of the mountain gorillas; no more than eight people are allowed to visit any given family for more than an hour each day.
