Day 1

En Route to Entebbe, Uganda

Your 6-day Uganda Primate Safari begins as you enplane for Africa, bound for Entebbe International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met and warmly welcomed before transferring to your city hotel in Kampala for a restful overnight stay.

Day 2 - 3

Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast and early check-out, enjoy a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, a lush rainforest celebrated for the highest concentration of primates in Africa. Kibale is Uganda’s premier destination for chimpanzee tracking, with five habituated groups and nearly 1,500 chimpanzees residing in the park. The guided trek lasts about three hours, including a memorable one-hour encounter observing chimpanzees’ intelligence and complex social behavior in the wild. Beyond chimps, Kibale hosts 13 primate species, rich birdlife, and remarkable biodiversity. Your two-night stay at Chimpundu Lodge offers an immersive forest setting and warm hospitality—an ideal base for rainforest exploration.

Day 4 - 5

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

After breakfast, journey into the emerald depths of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO-listed sanctuary where ancient rainforest clings to steep, mist-laced hills. Here, nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas live in quiet seclusion—around 400 individuals, with 12 habituated families offering rare opportunities for tracking. Your two-night retreat is Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, perched high above the forest with sweeping views that dissolve into cloud and canopy. Guided by expert trackers, you follow winding trails through trailing vines, birdsong, and timeworn trees, until the forest opens to a hushed encounter—a single, precious hour with a mountain gorilla family. In their gentle presence and strikingly human expressions, the wild feels intimate, humbling, and profoundly alive.

Day 6

Departure for Home

After a sumptuous breakfast, check out and begin your onward journey. You may travel by road to Entebbe International Airport (approximately 8–9 hours) or to Kigali International Airport (approximately 5–6 hours), enjoying a final passage through Uganda’s or Rwanda’s rolling landscapes. Alternatively, take a short transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for a morning scheduled flight to Entebbe. On arrival, we bid you a warm farewell as you connect to your homeward flight—departing with memories of misty forests, primate encounters, and moments that linger long after the journey ends.
